Change diapers are made from 100% sustainably farmed natural cotton, using our EAI technology, which only uses recycled water, air and cotton fiber. Our other components are made from compostable/biodegradable materials put together to maximize performance thought to be impossible — until now. Change diapers are manufactured with biodegradable and/or compostable raw materials, with less than 2% elastics and adhesives, that have been tested by third-party testing laboratories.

There are many companies making many claims. Read their labels, then read ours.

Biodegradable and compostable aren't the same thing, even though they get used interchangeably. Biodegradable just means a material can be broken down by microorganisms (bacteria, fungi) into natural elements like water, CO₂ and biomass — eventually. Compostable is a narrower, more specific claim: the material breaks down into nutrient-rich, non-toxic compost within a defined timeframe under specific composting conditions, and it leaves no harmful residue behind. The conditions and timeframe required can be different for each process.

Change diapers are assembled in the United States, using US grown cotton.

Change diapers use cotton, the most breathable natural fiber, throughout the areas that touch your baby's skin. This allows airflow to release heat and humidity, keeping your baby's skin drier, longer and more comfortable. Keeping skin dry reduces prolonged exposure to moisture and helps reduce the environment known to cause diaper rash — and there's more.

Because Change also uses the world's first biodegradable SAP not made from crude oil, there is no monomer residue. All other diapers, without exception, use fossil-fuel based SAP, thought by pediatricians to be a contributing cause of diaper rash.

Yes. Each sleeve of Change diapers is wrapped in a biodegradable material. The shipping boxes are also biodegradable or can be recycled.

Please use our current sizing chart to choose the best size based on your baby's weight and fit. If you're between sizes or unsure, we're happy to help you work through the fit based on your baby's current weight and how the diaper is fitting.

The diaper should sit comfortably below the belly button, with the leg cuffs fitting snugly around your child's legs without digging in. You should be able to fit approximately one finger between the waistband and your baby's skin. The fit should feel secure while still allowing comfortable movement.

Red marks around the waist or legs can be a sign that the diaper is too tight, so consider moving up a size. (Even our closures are made from biodegradable materials.) Occasional leaks can happen with any diaper, but if you're experiencing consistent leaking, the diaper may be too large or the fit may need adjustment. In that case, trying a smaller size can help.
